galvanized coil/ Zinc coated steel coil/ GI steel coil introduction

2021-03-16

What is the galvanized coils?

For galvanized coils, the thin steel sheet is immersed in a molten zinc bath to become a thin steel sheet with a layer of zinc on the surface. It is mainly produced by a continuous galvanizing process, that is, the coiled steel sheet and molten zinc are continuously immersed in a galvanizing bath. This steel sheet is also manufactured by hot dipping, but after being discharged from the molten pool, it is immediately heated to about 500°C to produce an alloy coating of zinc and iron. The galvanized coil has good paint adhesion and weldability.

Galvanized coil advamntages:

1. Low processing cost: the cost of hot-dip galvanizing and rust prevention is lower than that of other paint coatings;
2. Durable:
3. Good reliability: the galvanized layer and the steel are metallurgically bonded and become a part of the steel surface, so the durability of the coating is reliable enough;
4. The coating is highly toxic: the zinc coating forms a special metallurgical structure that can withstand mechanical damage during transportation and use;
5. Comprehensive protection;
6. Time-saving and labor-saving: the galvanizing process is faster than other coating construction methods, and it can avoid the time required for painting on the construction site after installation.
7. Low initial cost: Under normal circumstances, the cost ratio of galvanized sheet factory, galvanized steel sheet, hot-dip galvanized sheet, hot-dip galvanized sheet, galvanized coil, galvanized iron sheet, galvanized sheet price, and white iron sheet hot-dip galvanizing The application of other protective coatings should be lower for the simple reason. Other protective coatings such as sanding paint are labor-intensive procedures. On the contrary, the hot-dip galvanizing process is highly mechanized and tightly controlled in-plant construction.
Galvanized steel coil disadvantage:

1. Easy to fall off during construction
2. Air knife stripes
3. Mechanical damage
