Definition and material of sandwich panel

Sandwich panel products are composed of two layers of molded metal panels (or panels of other materials) and a polymer thermal insulation inner core that is foamed directly in the middle of the panel and matured.

A plate made by gluing a higher-strength surface material with a lighter bulk core material with a lower strength. Also known as sandwich board.

Surface material:

Common materials for surface layer are plywood, fiberboard, plastic board and metal sheet.

Core:

The core materials include balsa wood, rubber, acetate, plastic, paper or cloth impregnated with resin (or not impregnated), and metal honeycomb structure materials.
